SUSPICIOUS ISRAELI PRESENCE IN IRAQ |
|
The activities of the Israeli secret service MOSSAD in Northern Iraq
were revealed in a report prepared by former Israeli Security Minister
Afri Dihter. The daily Yekgirtu published in Irbil wrote that Israel
intervened in the internal affairs of Iraq through its Kurdish
political parties. Dihter expressed that “Israel was able to get more
than it wanted with the US intervention in Iraq in 2003” and said “We
must leave Iraq in a state of disintegration and within an environment
of war and conflict, as the Israeli interests lie there”. Moreover,
the Israeli Minister stated that “Israel would seize the Kirkuk oil
through the Kurdish political parties”. The mentioned newspaper also
covered the relations of “Korek TV” and “Channel-4 TV”, broadcasting
in Northern Iraq, with the Israeli secret service.

|
It is claimed that Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu is
prostate cancer and is hiding his illness from people around him. The
mentioned claim was put forth by Liilian Peretz, former maid of the
Netanyahu family. L. Peretz, who worked at the house of the Netanyahu
family in Caesaria for six years, said that the medical treatment
received by Natanyahu was kept secret from the public opinion and she
was under pressure for not to tell anyone anything she knew.

(IS) TEHRAN MOVING? |
|
The Iranian leadership decided to move a part of the city’s population
to other regions putting forth the population density and the
distorted urbanization of the capital Tehran. In a meeting
participated by 400 district governors in the Ministry of Interior,
measures aimed at dividing Tehran into 12 district governorates and
moved outside the city were reviewed. “A part of the students in
universities known to host protest demonstrations will be sent outside
Tehran and military factories will be removed outside the city,”
stated the First Deputy President. The Iranian Council of Ministers,
on the other hand, decided to move the headquarters of 326 public
companies based in Tehran.

ISRAELI PEOPLE DO NOT TRUST THE GOVERNMENT |
|
The repercussions of the attack carried against the aid flotilla to
Gaza by the Israeli Security Forces continue in the world public
opinion. While Israel has shown its ugly face with this action once
again, the reactions it receives lead the country to isolation. Now,
the Israeli people severely criticize their own government. Some
non-governmental organizations based in Israel announce support
messages for aid to Gaza. Meanwhile, there are deep dissidences
between the Israeli government and the opposition wing. The officials
of the Kadima accuse Netanyahu Government of “stalemating Israel and
mismanaging the crisis”.

THERE IS NO REASON ANYMORE TO DEFEND ISRAEL |
|
The attack perpetrated by the Israeli soldiers on the aid ship heading
for Gaza still get reactions from the international community as well
as Israel. Now, even the Israeli people and nongovernmental
organizations have started criticizing their government in a harsh
manner.

CORRUPTION CLAIMS SHAKE THE GOVERNMENT IN ISRAEL |
|
Israeli Government is having hard times. The eventual fiasco of the
operation against the aid flotilla to Gaza has not covered the
corruption of the Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman. Israeli people
are now arguing how a minister, who is drowning in claims of bribery
and corruption, can manage an emerging international crisis. The
Israeli Public Prosecutor is preparing to bring a new action against
Minister Lieberman upon the advice of the police. Lieberman is going
to be tried for “misusing his position and fraud”, on the suspicion
that he has reached certain confidential files related to the
corruption investigation about him. The police recommends that an
action should be brought against Zeev Ben Ariye, the former Israeli
Ambassador to Belarus, on the suspicion that the might have
transferred the files to Lieberman.

ARMENIA’S CONSULATE GENERAL IN TABRIZ |
|
After an interval of two years, the opening of Armenia’s Consulate
General in Iran is on the agenda. Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister
Hasan Kashkavi stated that the preliminary agreement was reached
concerning Armenia’s opening the consulate in Tabriz. Owing to the
conveniences granted by the Iranian Government to Armenians, Armenians
have reportedly started to flow to South Azerbaijan recently. Thanks
to the Tehran-Yerevan cooperation, while Armenians publish cultural
declarations in Ardebil and religious declarations in Urumiye, they
seek to be involved in the oil industry in Tabriz.

THE ROAD TO THE GERMAN LANGUAGE GOES THROUGH THE TURKISH LANGUAGE |
|
Mustafa TOMBULOGLU
(Yorturk Cultural and Art Magazine-May/June 2010)
As in throughout Europe, the progressively aging population and the
decreasing birth rates in Austria are also assessed as problems. In
this case, we see that the increasingly growing foreign population
makes the immigrants more important. While the qualified “immigrant
workforce” has gained importance for the economy of the European
countries, continuing to discuss the issues of improving the education
conditions of the immigrant children, employment problem of the young
people who drop out school and the integration of the immigrants
constitute a contrast. In short, no solution has been found for the
education and employment problem of this population. For instance,
with a rate of 13 %, Turks are the leading group in terms of
unemployment in Austria.
