TV BROADCAST OF GORAN MOVEMENT IS BEING OBSTRUCTED |
|
There are power cuts in Irbil during the speech of Newshirvan Mostafa,
who is the leader of Goran Movement, on KNN TV which broadcasts from
Suleymaniyah, Northern Iraq. According to the information, district
generators are off during these hours. News on KNN TV, which belongs
to the Goran Movement and which is the one of most popular channels in
Irbil lately, about the malpractices of KDP and PUK leaders, attract
attention.
KNN TV reporters interview with the locals by going to the villages of
Irbil and Suleymaniyah. It has been mentioned that the government is
irritated by the videos on this channel in which the citizens
criticize KDP and PUK. They point out to the attacks against Goran
MP's. The Change Movement, which is irritated by the attacks, sent a
diplomatic note on this issue to Mesud Barzani and international
institutions on January 1st.
It is known that the support base of Goran Movement, which gained a
successful result in the parliamentary elections held on 25 July 2009
in Northern Iraq under the leadership of N.Mostafa, in Irbil is
increasing as a result of the said broadcasts. The experts consider
there is no doubt that the movement, which plans to participate in the
general elections that will be held in 7 March with an independent
list, will get a better result in the upcoming elections
